Check Out This 5-Minute Action Clip From ‘Lockout’
  |

Over the weekend a clip from the upcoming sci-fi action flick Lockout was screened at WonderCon. Now the five-minute scene has been released online.

You can watch it here below.

The plot focuses on a convicted felon (Guy Pearce) who is handed the task of rescuing the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from a prison that has been taken over by some of its most violent inmates. Only problem is the prison is in outerspace.

From the looks of this clip Lockout is going to be nothing more than a kick-ass popcorn thrill ride, simply perfect and unpretentious B-movie entertainment. With all the fully-loaded tentpole spectacles packing the multiplexes this summer I will gladly welcome a down and dirty drive-in movie any day.

Lockout is directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger and co-stars Lennie James (The Walking Dead) and Peter Stormare (Fargo). The movie will be released by Film District on April 20, 2012.
