You Don’t Want To Smell What The Rock Is Cooking In Michael Bay’s ‘Pain & Gain’

During the late ’90s, my junior high class was completely fascinated by Dwayne “˜The Rock’ Johnson. They questioned teachers and fellow classmates with his infamous question: “Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?”

Ten years and a few movies later, Johnson has made a name for himself outside the wrestling ring. He is just one of the many stars who will appear in Michael Bay‘s new passion project Pain & Gain and in this new image, people will once again be asking themselves: “Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?”

Credit to ScreenCrush for revealing the photo (which you can check out below) of Johnson on the set of Michael Bay’s new movie Pain & Gain. The film follows two muscle-headed body builders who attempt to start their life of crime by kidnapping a local business man, only thing is, things don’t go according to plan.

Glad we are seeing something that doesn’t contain huge explosions from a Bay movie. But that won’t last very long seeing that Bay will follow up Pain & Gain with Transformers 4. Still, the image is a nice change of pace and shows that Pain & Gain won’t be your average crime drama.

Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Tony Shalhoub, and Bar Paly also have roles in Pain & Gain, which is expected to hit theaters in 2013.
