HBO Gives Both ‘Girls’ & ‘Veep’ A Season 2
  |  @   |

HBO has announced that there will officially be a second season for their two newest shows, Girls and Veep.

Girls is created by and stars Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture) and executive produced by Judd Apatow. It follows four girls in New York City as they struggle to figure out their lives and all of the little joys it brings with it. It has been compared to another HBO show, Sex and the City, presented in a much more realistic and less glamorous light, and from a much younger perspective.

Veep is a political comedy starring Emmy-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine) as the vice president of the United States, who quickly discovers that there’s a reason no one ever aspires to be America’s number two leader. The show was created by Armando Iannucci (Oscar-nominated co-writer of In the Loop).

Both shows have averaged around 3.7 to 3.8 million viewers in their young freshman runs, and both second seasons will be for 10 episodes.
