‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops II’ Officially Announced; Watch The Debut Trailer Now!
  |  @   |

It’s been rumored for a while now, and Activision has now made it official: this year’s installment of the Call of Duty franchise will be Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The not so expected part is the game’s setting. Would it continue the ’60s-set Cold War storyline seen in the first game? Would it re-visit well-traveled ground like World War II or modern day warfare? As it turns out, it’s none of those things. Black Ops II will take us to new places in the Call of Duty franchise: the future.

Continue on below for more info on the game, and more importantly, to see the debut trailer!

Black Ops II, developed by Treyarch, is set in the year 2025, bringing the Call of Duty franchise somewhat into the realms of science fiction. And even though it will look a little futuristic-y, it is in fact only thirteen years down the road, so don’t expect to see too much wild and crazy sci-fi action.

You can enjoy the trailer below (which involves a familiar face), and stay tuned for more details on exactly what to expect when the game arrives on November 13, 2012.
