For decades, bibliophiles have known that Michael Moorcock‘s Eternal Champions books are among the greatest fantasy books ever written. Amazingly, BOOM! Studios brought together the perfect team to introduce these characters to a whole new audience of comic readers.

Inspired by the original novels, Elric: The Balance Lost is an all-new tale scripted by Chris Roberson that is every bit as great as those classic stories. Couple that with the exceptional art of Francesco Biagini and you get one ridiculously awesome comic.

BOOM! Studios has given us an exclusive preview of pages from Elric: The Balance Lost #11. Check it out here below.

This series has impressed me with every issue, each one building on the last. We watch as classic characters Elric, Hawkmoon, and Corum are joined by the newest Eternal Champion, Eric Beck. Finding their fates bound together, they quest towards a common goal only to find it is much more encompassing than they originally thought. With this issue we witness the beginning of the story’s climax, a battle across the planes of existence that reaches even to the edge of time itself! As I have said many times, if you love the fantasy genre then this is the series for you. I cannot heap enough praise upon this comic…it has far exceeded my wildest expectations. Look for it this Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at comic and book stores near you.

Only One Issue Left! The four Eternal Champions “” Elric, Hawkmoon, Corum, and Eric Beck “” have allied themselves across the Multiverse for one last stand as the series hurtles toward its epic conclusion. But can they save themselves when reality itself sits on the brink of destruction? Don’t miss the penultimate issue of fantasy author Michael Moorcock and New York Times bestseller Chris Roberson’s (iZombie) graphic storytelling tour de force.
