The Dark Knight Rises is Christopher Nolan‘s farewell film to his Batman trilogy. With each entry, Nolan has upped the ante, creating a more immersive and expansive world that has brought audiences into theaters in droves. Now The Dark Knight Rises will do that tenfold.
This new featurette explains the long process it took to bring The Dark Knight Rises to where it is today. In it we learn what the film will be about and the characters that will be involved in the battle between good and evil. Check out the very cool featurette below.
Since there are a couple of new scenes that was never included in previous trailers, there will be a few spoilers, so don’t hit the jump if you don’t want to ruin your experience. Other than that, check out the video below.
The film quite literally spanned the globe, taking audiences and Batman himself to places we never thought we’d go. From India to Scotland and from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, Nolan traveled everywhere to find the right place to bring a real Gotham City to life. We also get to see how some of the action sequences go down and they are so good, that you have to watch them for yourself.
Nolan is a very hands-on kind of guy. You get to see how involved the director is as opposed to someone who chooses to sit back and watch. During some of the interviews we get to hear what some of the actors have to say about the parts they play, how they have evolved since Batman Begins, and some of the agendas the new characters have. Overall, this featurette has gotten me even more excited to watch The Dark Knight Rises.
The film opens in theaters and in IMAX on July 20th.
