One Final Hauntingly Funny Trailer For Laika Studios’ ‘ParaNorman’
  |  @   |

ParaNorman has been getting a lot of positive buzz lately, but just in case you don’t know that a stop-motion animated film about a misunderstood kid who can communicate with the dead is coming out tomorrow, Laika Studios is releasing one more trailer to remind you that there is one.

This is an Internet special trailer and it won’t be released anywhere else. Check it out below.

You have to love the semi-haunting drum beats coinciding with the John Goodman voiceover. And as chillingly fun as the Internet special trailer is, it’s nothing compared to how good the movie actually is. So be sure to come back to check out our review of the film.

Directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler, ParaNorman features the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Tucker Albrizzi. The film will open in theaters and in 3D on August 17th.

Here’s the official premise for ParaNorman:

The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated “Coraline.” “ParaNorman” is, following “Coraline,” the company’s second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In “ParaNorman,” a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
