Summit Enhances ‘Twilight’ Experience With ‘The Twilight Saga’ Movie Marathon
Monday, September 10th, 2012 at 10:00 pm
The finale of any long-running movie franchise feels so incomplete without having a studio run some sort of special movie marathon. Think of it as the penultimate event before you wave farewell to a beloved story, well that is until a studio reboots it. So like The Lord of the Rings, or The Avengers, The Twilight Saga is getting its very own movie marathon before the showing of the final chapter of the film franchise.
And like most movie marathons, this one will be shown one day before the official release of the final film. The Twilight Saga is made up of five films, which were adapted from four books. The fourth and final book was adapted into two parts.
The marathon will take place on November 15, 2012 at theaters across North America. Additionally, to accommodate demand as well as making THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 available to moviegoers of many ages, the studio and its exhibition partners will release the newest film beginning with 10 p.m. screenings on November 15, 2012 at many local theaters. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 will then be released across North America and around the world via multiple show times on November 16, 2012.
Fans who attend this extraordinary event will be treated to much more than popcorn and soda refills, as there will also be “exclusive interstitial content played between the films.” What this content actually contains is unknown. Special Twilight-related lanyards will also be handed out to those who watch the film.
Summit will release more details about The Twilight Saga movie marathon as it gets closer to its release date.
