‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Trailer: Insert Many Coins For Amazing Disney Fun
  |  @   |

There’s film adaptation of video games, then there’s Wreck-It Ralph. Rather than go the traditional route of adapting video game franchises, director Rich Moore went with a completely original story that would feature a villain of a video game who wants to break away from his programming and become a hero. So far we’ve gotten a teaser trailer and a 10-minute sneak peek at Comic-Con, now we’ve got a new full-length theatrical trailer that’s full of action, comedy, and heart.

Watch the trailer here below.

The trailer is pretty fantastic any way you look at it. There are just so many comedic jabs at the video games we all know and love, and then it just hits you with some heartfelt moments that can bring a tear to your eye.

Some of the new things you see in the trailer are the character interactions the video game sprites have. We see that Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) is an accepted member of his video game community, but everyone in it says he must stay true to what he was originally programmed to do. There’s also more footage of the terminal station where video game characters converge and hop from game to game, battle scenes from Hero’s Duty, and the sugarcoated goodness that is Sugar Rush.

But what sold me on this trailer was the fact that it was designed like a video game itself. Not only does the trailer feature some video game nods, but it also has the cast being revealed in a character select format. There’s also that seamless transition from pixilated world to CGI world (which also features some classic video game sounds and actions).

Wreck-It Ralph opens in theaters in 3D on November 2, 2012.
