Led Zeppelin 2007 Reunion Concert Film To Be Released To Theaters This Fall

The mighty British powerhouse rock and roll group Led Zeppelin is coming to the silver screen on October 13th, reports The Washington Post.

A concert film, entitled Celebration Day, showcases the band’s triumphant performance at the 2007 Tribute to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in England. It was the band’s first headline show in 27 years.

Original band members Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page along with Jason Bonham, son of original late Zep drummer John Bonham, electrified the crowd that night, with an unexpectedly high standard performance that included archetypical Zep favorites such as “Dazed and Confused,” “Black Dog” and of course the band’s signature song “Stairway to Heaven,” but also included some rare nuggets hardly ever played live like “Ramble On” and “For Your Life.”

In addition to the concert, there will also multiple video and audio releases of the concert on November 19th. Tickets are available on the bands website ledzeppelin.com. The film will get a global release in about 1,500 theaters.

The band’s first theatrical release was also a concert, 1976’s The Song Remains the Same, which documented the original band’s live performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden, in 1973. That film remains a cult smash among Zep stalwarts.
