Check Out Jill Thompson’s Concept Art For Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ Movie Pitch
  |  @   |

Neil Gaiman‘s Sandman comic book series is, much like Watchman, considered to be one of those “unfilmable” properties, which might explain why we haven’t seen a big screen adaptation of it. While fans tend to agree that the propriety might be better off on the small screen, which Geoff Johns said was still happening as of a year ago, there was a time when Gaiman pitched a Sandman movie to Warner Bros. Part of that pitch included concept art provided by Jill Thompson, whose previously worked on the comic book as well as many other series like Wonder Woman, The Invisibles, and Fables.

Thompson recently put up for sale 27 pieces of Sandman movie concept art. Check them out here below.

The art is gorgeous and truly captures the essence of Sandman. There’s still some prints left for sale, so head over to the sale page if you’re interested.
