ScreenJunkies’ honest trailers have a way of pushing fanatics’ buttons in the wrong way, but there are those who find their trailers quite humorous. For the most part, the humor lies within nitpicking the smaller things that go unnoticed by the directors and film editors. We previously posted an honest trailer for The Avengers, which pointed out some issues with continuity, heroes never wearing earpieces to communicate, Asgardian gods dying, and other things.
Now a new honest trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises (which is out now on Blu-ray/DVD combo-pack) will definitely ruffle a few feathers. The highly anticipated third and final entry in Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy was perhaps the most polarizing because fans either forgave the film’s glaring plot holes in favor of Nolan’s eye and Wally Phfister‘s cinematography or they gave the film hell by posting their anger on Twitter or Facebook. Check out the honest trailer here below.
To be honest, the trailer is just retreading how disappointed some of the moviegoers feel about the film ending the way it did. The thing is, Screenjunkies brings up the plot holes in The Dark Knight Rises in a humorous way. which is perfect because it coincides with the release of the Blu-ray and DVD. So I wonder how viewers will react to this trailer: will they laugh or will they get angry.
The video also has a surprise cameo. I don’t want to spoil it, but if you enjoyed a video of a hilariously harsh review of Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, then you might enjoy this Honest Trailer a little bit more.
