THQ ‘Humble Bundle’ Gives Gamers A Lot For Giving A Little

Do you Like that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you know you are helping a good cause? Are you a gamer? Well, if you’re a Steam user, let me direct your attention to the Humble Bundle from THQ.
For the small price of PAY WHAT YOU WANT, you can get your hands on six (or seven) top notch games from THQ. You can also choose to send some or ALL of the money you pay for this Humble Bundle to charity. The standard Humble Bundle consists of Darksiders, Metro 2033, Red Faction: Armageddon, and three Company of Heroes games (the original CoH, Opposing Fronts, and Tales of Valor). Does none of this tickle your giving spirit? Well, if you should decide to donate more than the ‘average’ amount (which is currently sitting at around six dollars), you will also get a copy of Saints Row: The Third.
Possibly the coolest part of purchasing the Humble Bundle is the options you’re presented with during the checkout process. You’re given the ability, via a three bar slider, to decide the exact split of how your money is spent. You could choose to give equally to THQ, the American Red Cross, and the Humble Bundle team (to help defer their promotional and server costs), or you could just go ahead and send every single cent to charity. Your sliders. Your call.
While the true minimum that you’re allowed to pay for the game bundle is $1 (if you pay less than $1 you’ll only have the ability to purchase five game soundtracks), with a total retail cost of around $190 if you chose to pony up 6 bucks and only ever played each game for 10 minutes, it’d still be one of the best game deals you’ll ever find.
But I encourage you to act fast, because time is most definitely running out. There’s just a little over six days left before the Humble Bundle deal is gone.
