Watch This: Courtney Love Performs Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems’ At Sundance
  |  @   |

Aside from always being able to make an impression, whether good or bad, Courtney Love also knows how to make a song her own.

The Hole front woman did a solo performance on January 22 at the Star Bar during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT. Video has surfaced showing Ms. Love doing a grunged-out acoustic version of Jay-Z’s hip hop hit “99 Problems.” And yes, it’s a must-listen.

Check out the video here below.

You’ll note the video is poor quality and taken from the audience by what is likely a cameraphone, but the sound is good and you get the drift of what Love is trying to convey. The singer intro’d the song laughingly saying that what she was about to do was “so genius, it either sucks or it’s genius.” Love tweeted a link out to the video the other day, simply stating, “99 problems anyone??”

While Love’s version of the song sounds like it belongs on GNR Lives and hearing her sing lyrics like Now once upon a time not too long ago, a nigga like myself had to strong arm a ho is … interesting, I think she kicks some major ass on this and lines like I’m like fuck critics, you can kiss my whole asshole are spot-on for her. I love me some Courtney, always and forever.
