Albert Brooks Set For ‘Finding Nemo 2’; Andrew Stanton To Get Another Chance At Live-Action
  |  @   |

After lots of negotiating, DisneyӢPixar has reached a deal with Albert Brooks to reprise his role as Marlin the clown fish in Finding Nemo 2.

We found out that a sequel was on the way with Andrew Stanton returning to direct back in July, and that Ellen DeGeneres had signed on to reprise her role as Dory just month later. Brooks, however, was apparently a little bit trickier to lock up, and it’s said that he’ll be paid rather handsomely for the gig.

Finding Nemo 2 became the next project for Stanton after his live-action debut, John Carter, crashed and burned pretty hard, unfortunately. Thankfully it wasn’t a killer blow to the talented director’s career; it’s being reported that after Nemo—which we likely won’t be seeing for a handful of years—Disney is willing to give him another shot at live-action…presumably on a project with a much more modest budget.

  1. Disney’s marketing was the reason Carter tanked, plus people forget that it made over $200 million, that’s a lot of money.
Woo! though lol Stanton was planning Nemo 2 anyway so I’m confident it’ll be great.

  2. Hoping it leads to a sequel to John Carter, they should still have all the cgi masters etc so that should bring the budget down a bit. Also hoping that Stanton has learnt from his live-action directorial debut too.
