Bryan Singer has used Twitter to offer first looks at characters such as Storm, and now he’s given fans the first image of Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde. Page played the character previously in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand.

In 1981’s Days of Future Past comic storyline, Kitty Pryde is one of the primary characters. An adult Kitty Pryde from an apocalyptic future transfers her mind into present-day Kitty Pryde, who assembles the X-Men to prevent a possible future in which mutants are held captive in prison camps and, in some cases, exterminated.

X-Men: Days of Future Past also stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, and Adan Canto. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18, 2014.
