In the past 48 hours we’ve shown you a six-second sneak peek, a 30-second trailer, and now we’ve got a full-length “extended” trailer for Joss Whedon‘s upcoming ABC television series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson who is apparently alive after being mortally wounded by Loki in Whedon’s The Avengers. Coulson leads a top-secret team that includes Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them is computer hacker and new recruit Skye (Chloe Bennet).

This extended trailer gives us a glimpse at the characters that occupy Whedon’s spin-off, including “The Hooded Hero,” the superhero who rescues a woman from a burning building in previous previews. Rumors are the young hero is Elvin Haliday, also known as Rage, who made his first appearance in 1990 within the pages of Avengers #326.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D feels like NBC’s Heroes should have been. What do you think? Are you looking forward to ABC’s superhero spin-off?
