Star Wars Thumb Doodles
The Epic Saga At Your Fingertips
Written by The Editors of Klutz

Release Date: February 11, 2013
Cover Price: $16.99
For all of us that grew up watching the Star Wars films in the ’70s and ’80s, witnessing the rebirth of this wonderful franchise is a mixed blessing. I mean, it’s great that today’s kids are being exposed to the greatest space themed franchise to ever exist (suck it, Trekkies), but they are also being subjected to horrific entities like Jar Jar Binks. Luckily, Star Wars Thumb Doodles: The Epic Saga At Your Fingertips focuses on the Holy Trilogy, Episode IV, V and VI.
Okay, first of all, let’s discuss the supplies. It comes equipped with a two dual color pencil made to look like lightsabers, one blue end and one red end. There are also ink pads for use in making the finger and thumb prints in the activity book. There are instructions on how to utilize the supplies and how to keep them clean and unmarred while in use. This will definitely be handy for the younger artists.

Universal Pictures & ‘Star Trek’ Writers To Turn ‘Locke & Key’ Into Movie
|
 |

You read that right, my friends. Universal Pictures just snagged the options to the bestselling comic series Locke & Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. In other words, they are looking to turn this awesome comic into a feature film! Now, I’ve loved the series since the beginning and I’ve got to say, this movie could easily shame a lot of the big comic films we have seen in the last few years.
Looking to produce this through Universal-based K/O Paper Products, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Bobby Cohen have teamed with IDW’s CEO Ted Allen who is also being listed as producer on this project. That’s a lot of pull to get the job done. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I was pretty jazzed to hear this today. We all know how Fox kind of dropped the ball on giving us a version for television with Steven Spielberg, not to mention MTV and SyFy passing on it, too. Luckily, it was Kurtzman and Orci (of Star Trek, Fringe and Transformers fame) who have remained dedicated to getting this off the ground. Their vigilance seems to have paid off finally. And I have to say, I think I’d rather see a feature length film than something scaled down for television anyway. And if everything goes well, word has it they might be looking at a trilogy of films!

Voices Heard: Microsoft Decides To Remove All Xbox One Used Game & Internet Connection Restrictions
|
 |

Most people use the internet to complain about all the things, big and small, that life drops on on our doorsteps. Most of the time these complaints are pointless or heard by only a couple of friends. But sometimes, when a great deal of voices combine into one very loud voice that speaks strongly and passionately about a particular topic, it’s almost impossible to ignore. And that’s when we see response, and we see action.
Recently we the gaming community found out that all of the restrictions that were rumored for (but seemingly impossible to get a direct answer about) the next video game console from Microsoft, the Xbox One—the “always on” connection; the used game restrictions—were in fact true in one way or another. Much outrage ensued. But the company walked into E3 confidently and showed off the one thing people are excited about, the games, without talking much about the actual console. That left the door open for Sony to land a devastating blow. Then Microsoft was asked about how people who had absolutely no internet options would be able to enjoy their games, and their response was gasoline dumped on the wildfire.
Now, after all of this angry chaos, Microsoft is finally making some changes. People, after all, can’t play your games if they refuse to buy your console. Continue reading to see what the company has to say.

Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd and Ellen Page co-star as Benji and Lizzy, leaders of The East who use “jams” to expose pharmaceutical companies and energy conglomerates that destroy the planet. These agents of chaos aren’t just environmental activists, but victims of the system.
