Watch ‘Sherlock’ Stars Martin Freeman & Benedict Cumberbatch’s Comic-Con Message
  |  @   |

Sherlock stars Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch couldn’t be at the panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 18 for their television series, so they sent along a video message for their fans in attendance.

You can watch the video here below.

Freeman filmed his portion from the New Zealand set of The Hobbit and was in his Bilbo attire; Cumberbatch was on vacation and his message was a bit longer and possibly more revealing.

While we didn’t get a chance to see the Sherlock panel (as you can see here, we did get to cover many other events), you can read a panel recap from our friends over at ScreenRant.

Along with starring in BBC’s Sherlock together, the actors both have credits in The Hobbit films, with Freeman playing the lead role in the film trilogy as the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, and Cumberbatch voicing the dragon Smaug, who is the center of attention in the second film, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, due out in theaters on December 13, 2013.

Production will resume on the third season of Sherlock late this summer; a fourth season has been confirmed.
