Tom Hiddleston Teaches Cookie Monster The Value Of “Delayed Gratification”
  |  @   |

When he is not too busy trying to make Thor’s life miserable, Tom Hiddleston takes time off to enjoy a cookie. But can all that power, mischief, and charming good looks be enough to stop Cookie Monster from nabbing that cookie? A new video features the two finding themselves in a situation that involves the sweet snack.

In attempts to stop Cookie Monster from hastily eating a cookie, the British actor teaches everyone’s favorite blue monster from Sesame Street a valuable lesson in self-regulation. Hit the jump to see the video.

At first it looks like Cookie Monster succumbs to his hunger by eating Hiddleston’s cookie. But the actor stops him. So instead of denying him is right to eat a cookie, the actor takes the time to teach Cookie Monster the value of patience and that good things will come to those who wait. Of course Hiddleston’s inner Loki creeps out as he begins to tease Cookie Monster by waving the cookie in his face and asks him to smell it.

But in the end everyone gets what they want; Hiddleston teaches Cookie Monster about delayed gratification, which is as Hiddleston puts it “a long word; too long for a cookie,” and Cookie Monster gets his cookie. But everyone wins because this video is just too awesome.
