‘Sucker Punch’ Cinematographer Larry Fong Reteams With Zack Snyder For ‘Batman Vs. Superman’
  |  @   |

Warner Brothers and DC Comics had taken the first steps to building their DC Cinematic Universe franchise with Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel. While the film did produce mixed results, it grossed more than enough for WB to plan out the future for other DC properties. Just a few weeks ago, we confirmed that Ben Affleck was cast as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the sequel, currently known as Batman vs. Superman. Little is known about the film itself, but what we do know is that Batman will be in it, and as the rumored title suggests, it’s likely that these two heroes will fight against each other at some point in the movie.

But how will all of that look? Well that’s for Larry Fong to decide as he has been rumored to have been brought in to work on the cinematography for the film.

A Comingsoon reader was able to find the news by looking at Fong’s agency resume, which, oddly enough, doesn’t have the title. This could mean that it was a mistake or it wasn’t ready for the public. So we should consider this nothing more than just a rumor.

But if this is true, then it wouldn’t be the first time that Fong was worked with Snyder. In the past, the two have collaborated on projects such as 300, Watchmen, and Sucker Punch.

Affleck will be joined by Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman. WB has not announced a release date as of yet, but expect the film to hit theaters in Summer 2015.

So what are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see Fong work on the cinematography for Batman vs. Superman? If not, who do you have in mind?

  1. I don’t see how his agency resume gave away that he’s working on the Batman/Superman film. It’s not listed anywhere and not a thing in that document even mentions anything close to Batman or Superman.

But we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

  2. Nolan got it right with Batman. Having Batman vs. Superman is a lame gimmick. One has to wonder why Warner/DC feel so desperate…?
