Official Release Date For ‘World Of Warcraft’ Movie Announced

It’s been announced that an official release date for Warcraft, the movie based on the popular MMO game World of Warcraft, has been locked in.

The Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures production will be released on December 18, 2015, which officially puts it in one of the craziest movie years we’re seeing take shape. But they were, at least, smart enough to avoid the jam-packed summer movie season.

Here’s the announcement via the World of Warcraft Twitter page:

Not much is known about the movie or what story will be used for it, and no actors have officially signed on yet.

Warcraft will be directed by Duncan Jones, whose previously works include the excellent Moon, and the sci-fi thriller Source Code.
