MUPPETS OF THE CARIBBEAN: Pirates of the Caribbean Trailer Parody

Yo ho, yo ho, a puppet’s life for me. Swashbuckling swine and fearless frogs define this mashup, utilizing the visuals from Muppet Treasure Island and the audio from the On Stranger Tides trailer. YouTube user UnusualSuspect 2013, known as Ross Thompson on Twitter has been previously featured on Disney In Depth for his “Toy of Steel” mashup. He is just as gifted here, combining two of my favorite properties: Pirates of the Caribbean and Muppets. I shrieked with laughter when I first heard the voice of Johnny Depp‘s Jack Sparrow emerge from the felt mouth of Kermit. Do you find it creepy that Fozzie is Kermit’s dad, though? I would see this in a “dead man’s chest” heartbeat. Fun, thrilling and impeccably timed, this gets my “argh” for the trailer mashup that should not walk the plank.
