‘Kick-Ass’ Star Aaron Taylor-Johnson Confirmed As Quicksilver In ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’
  |  @   |

We heard back in June that Aaron Taylor-Johnson, star of Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2, and the upcoming Godzilla reboot, was wanted by Marvel for the role of Quicksilver in Joss Whedon‘s follow-up to The Avengers, titled The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now that casting has been confirmed.

Taylor-Johnson’s schedule promoting Godzilla overlapped with filming on the Age of Ultron, which is why the casting had not yet been made official. Those scheduling conflicts have now been worked out, allowing the actor to take on the role.

The 23-year-old British actor will play Pietro Maximoff, who possesses superhuman speed and is the child of X-Men villain Magneto (not expected to appear) along with his twin sister Wanda Maximoff, better known as Scarlet Witch, who will be played by Taylor-Johnson’s Godzilla co-star Elizabeth Olsen.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently scheduled for released on May 1, 2015.
