Ghouls and haunts cheer for the day that comes once a year. Happy Halloween, everyone, as the holiday is finally here

In honor of the terrifying occasion, let us applaud the online Disney fans who exhibit passion for the Disney baddies in these hit YouTube videos. Sensational songs that bleed brilliance and exaggerated enthusiasm, they pay tribute to the characters we all love to hate, and sometimes even hate to love.

Here is a selection of the ones taking YouTube by spooky storm.

Spell Block Tango by Todrick Hall

Just days after its release, this seven-minute showcase of American Idol alums and other stars singing and dancing as Disney’s antagonists has overwhelmed the Internet. Understandably so. Among the celebrities joining in on the Chicago-esque act are Adam Lambert as devilish Captain Hook and Glee‘s Amber Riley as devious Ursula from The Little Mermaid. This production has Broadway-style value in its staging, vocal abilities, and choreography. Todrick Hall, a musical sensation for all the right reasons, previously developed the street version involving Belle in Beauty and the Beat, featured in an earlier edition of Disney In Depth. The creativity cannot be contained in the showcase, which demonstrates consistent movement and artistic ingenuity. Who takes your vote for creepiest of the bunch? Mine goes to Scar. Who knew the cool cat could chant like that? See for yourself in the video below.

(Disney Villain Medley) Bad Guys Have All The Fun

A capella medleys have flooded YouTube, and these impressionistic musical talents consistently reinvent recognizable songs. Disney ones populate numerous channels, and this one changes the formula by focusing solely on the villainous tunes. This guy performs versions of “Gaston,” “Friends on the Other Side,” “Out There,” and many others. His charisma comes out in full force through glimpsing at any one of the four screens, windows into his Disney fandom. The reprise of “Prince Ali” from Aladdin, as sung by Jafar, or rather his interpretation of the royal pain, tops all of the songs as most infectious.

Disney Villain Impressions…in Song!

Let’s send some snaps to this man of many voices, who not only impersonates nearly every Disney villain in the animated playbook, but also creates a song set to the orchestration of “Part of Your World.” Sure, not every stab at a voice succeeds, as indicated by Hades, Ursula and Kaa, yet the Sheriff of Nottingham, King Candy and the cats from Lady and the Tramp suggest he’s quite suitable for this performance. The amusing lyrics to “I’ll Slaughter the World” and inventive approach are admirable, considering the difficulty one could have in changing the words to one of Disney’s best “I want” songs. Nice vocal work, impressionist.

Disney Villians Medley – All Night Yahtzee

While some may consider this seven-year-old video from Florida State University’s a capella group dated or unoriginal, what it lacks in technical flair it more than makes up for in singing quality. These college-aged performers’ vocal strength compares to the strength of most any contestant in the final rounds on The Voice, Idol, or another singing competition show. “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” masterfully sung by the leading lady at the front of the group, matches the trademark of Pat Carroll‘s vile sea witch. What receives the biggest laugh is the rendition of “The Siamese Cat Song” by a pair of girls – likely identical twins, from the looks of this – who keenly imitate one another as the ferocious felines. Each act keeps improving in majesty, concluding with Scar’s “Be Prepared” from The Lion King.

Disney Villain Cups

Try to follow the beat in this compilation of several Disney villain pieces, sung in different portions at different times by two different individuals. These friends make an ideal time, as their adoration for the evil Disney character ditties come through in this video, which rapidly changes from “Mother Knows Best” from Tangled to “Kill The Beast” from Beauty and the Beast, for instance. Frenetic and fun, this exciting ride of a sung never stops moving, keeping you smiling and stunned simultaneously.

Which Disney villains do you love most? Share your favorites!
