Watch Now: Short Film ‘Deja View’ Adapts To The Viewer
  |  @   |

A new short film has been released by Infiniti—yes, the same Infiniti that makes cars—in partnership with branded content company Campfire, which was co-founded by Blair Witch Project creators Mike Monello and Gregg Hale.

The short film is titled Deja View, and is unique because it adapts to each person, creating an entertainment experience that’s immersive and unique to almost everyone who watches it.

Continue reading to find out how it works, and where you can check it out.

The story is simple enough: two people in a car with absolutely no recollection of who they are, where they are, who they can trust, and who they are running from or to, need your help to figure things out and navigate them through the situation.

The way it works is, you head to this website. An intro video will play, and then a number will appear. The viewer then calls that number with their mobile phone and gets a code to enter, synching them up with the video. This is all so that, using state of the art voice recognition/language processing technology, your words and the way you speak them will be used to craft your own personal version of the short, altering the story, the characters and their emotions, and the pace of the film.

How many variations there are is unknown, but what you say should lead to a pretty cool little short film, custom made for you by your decisions.

Deja View is directed by Phillip Vanhas, who has been featured in Shoot Magazine’s New Directors Showcase and named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film, and stars Charlotte Sullivan (Rookie Blue, The Kennedys) and Andrew Pastides (Hank & Asha).

  1. Its not a short film its a commercial. It doesn’t actually change the “story” if you can call it that. Just a few variations. Choose your own adventure books FTW
