Batkid, Batman Save Gotham From Riddler, Penguin As 5-Year-Old Miles Scott’s Wish Comes True [Video]
  |  @   |

A couple weeks back we found out that Make-A-Wish was ready to transform San Francisco into Gotham City for a 5-year-old boy who battled leukemia. Now that little boy, named Miles Scott, has seen his dream come true, and in a way not many expected.

Thanks to his story spreading like wildfire around the internet, thousands of people showed up to volunteer and to cheer Miles on as he, as Batkid, teamed with Batman himself and traveled around the city in a Batmobile to take out evil villains like the Riddler and Penguin.

Continue below for more and to see a video of Batkid’s big day.

The amount of people that showed up to help make this dream a reality is truly remarkable—a reminder that we the human race can still do amazing things, and that the news doesn’t always have to consist of only sad, political, and violent stories.

Because so many people showed up, many were able to document the event. So in addition to the image and special headline created by the San Francisco Chronicle seen above, and the video coverage below, you can also see a ton of great images shared and tweeted out by heading right here and right here. A simple search on Google or YouTube also leads to plenty of other looks.

But the most important thing of all, is that after battling leukemia for most of his life, Miles’ cancer is now in remission, making this whole thing a great celebration.

Once again, massive props and thanks to everyone who came together to make this happen.
