A Thanksgiving Message From Gary Oldman (Video)
  |  @   |

Jimmy Kimmel pondered what the Brits must feel about how every year for Thanksgiving Americans have a fancy feast to celebrate their escape from England. “England’s probably our closest ally,” he said, “and yet we have a big divorce party every November.”

So, he looked towards British actor Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Trilogy) to get an idea of how our allies across the pond feel about American Thanksgiving. Check out the video here below, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

  1. Thanksgiving isn’t insulting to the English; if anything, it’s actually more insulting to the Native Americans whom the Puritans slaughtered by the score a year after having broke with them that we stuff our faces with food every year.

  2. It’s called Great Britain, or The United Kingdom not England.

  4. It really doesn’t – England as used in this context, and by most Americans is wrong – As a Scot it’s incredibly offensive – Did you even watch the video explaining it?
