‘Fast and Furious 7’ Faces Delay Following Paul Walker’s Death
  |  @   |

Actor Paul Walker died in a car crash during a charity event over the Thanksgiving holiday. The actor was on break from filming the Fast and Furious 7. Filming was scheduled to resume in Atlanta this week after the break, but now Universal Pictures has no other choice but to delay the production. The studio says that the project will NOT be scrapped entirely.

Director James Wan and the studio attended a conference call on Sunday to see how much of the film would actually need rewrites. They also wanted to see how to proceed with the sequel that would be respectful to Walker’s death.

According to THR, a large part of the film has already been completed, although the cast and crew were scheduled to fly over to Abu Dhabi to film additional scenes. No word yet if that plan will proceed as scheduled or if that part of the movie will be rewritten.

Walker also has the Hours, which is scheduled for a release later this month, followed by Brick Mansions, from EuropaCorp and Relativity Media, an English-language remake of the 2004 French action movie District B13.
