Universal Studios Orlando announced today their plans for a Diagon Alley expansion for The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter section of their Florida theme park; today also happens to be National Peanut Butter Day, so I thought I’d suggest a way for everyone to celebrate both occasions at once — make your own Harry Potter-themed Strawberry and Peanut Butter Ice Cream!
In the second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets, while Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione are in Diagon Alley shopping for school supplies, they “happily slurped” three large strawberry-and-peanut-butter ice creams. The dessert is currently available at The Three Broomsticks restaurant at Universal’s The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter area, but for those of you who can’t get to the Orlando theme park, you can make your own ice cream at home thanks to the Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook and the helpful instructions by Nikki over at the In The Kitchen With Harry Potter blog.
Head over to In The Kitchen With Harry Potter for the recipe, instructions, and step-by-step photos on how to make some Strawberry and Peanut Butter Ice Cream that you too can happily slurp!
