The Walking Dead snapshot #5: After the massacre at Hershel’s barn (again, Shane = evil), a small figure stumbles out, revealing itself to be Sophia, now a walker. The stunned survivors lower their weapons and Carol sobs uncontrollably, running towards her daughter, but Daryl intercepts her. Rick steels himself to do the solemn task of putting her down. ~ “Pretty Much Dead Already” (first aired Nov. 27, 2011)
The Walking Dead snapshot #6: More heartbreak as the group’s “conscious,” Dale, is attacked by a walker unintentionally freed by Carl (thanks, kid). Mortally wounded and in agony, Dale’s suffering is ended by Daryl who takes aim (with Dale leaning into the gun’s barrel, to make the moment even worse) and utters a simple apology: “Sorry, brother.” ~ “Judge, Jury, and Executioner” (first aired March 4, 2012)
The Walking Dead snapshot #7: After Hershel’s farm is lost, Andrea flees into the woods and finds herself under attack by a walker, when she is rescued by a mysterious hooded figure. ~ “Beside the Dying Fire” (first aired March 18, 2012)
