Over the past few years, Elijah Wood has been spreading his wings and diving deep into the well that is genre cinema, having co-founded the production and distribution label SpectreVision and starring in several recent and upcoming horror films. His latest starring movie is Grand Piano, which was directed by SpectreVision partner Eugenio Mira, and comes courtesy of Magnet Releasing.
Below is the full synopsis of Grand Piano, along with the trailer and a clip from the movie to give you a taste of film’s tense style.
Tom Selznick, the most talented pianist of his generation, stopped performing in public because of his stage fright. Years after a catastrophic performance, he reappears in public in a long-awaited concert in Chicago. In a packed theater, in front of the expectant audience, Tom finds a message written on the score: “Play one wrong note and you die.” Without leaving the piano, Tom must discover the anonymous sniper’s motives and look for help without anyone realizing”¦
The movie has been available via iTunes and Video on Demand since January and just arrived in theaters for limited showings this weekend.
