LEGO Episode Of ‘The Simpsons’ Coming In May; First Image Of LEGO Homer Released
  |  @   |

The Simpsons are set to go full-LEGO next month with the announcement of a LEGO episode titled “Brick Like Me” that will air on May the 4th.

In the episode the characters will begin in the world of LEGO thinking that it’s normal, when Homer gets the feeling that something isn’t right and begins trying to figure out what’s going on.

You can read more about the episode and see the first image of Homer in LEGO form from the episode below.

While you might think that a LEGO-inspired episode of The Simpsons is due in part to the success of The LEGO Movie, it’s an episode that’s actually been in the works for a couple of years now.

But when asked how the episode compares to the hugely successful recent movie, executive producer Al Jean says:

“I think it’s just as good and it’s free.

If anyone out there has an idea for a new material that the Simpsons can be made out of, please write to us. Cardboard? Yarn? Anything is up for grabs.”

You can find out much more about the LEGO episode of The Simpsons and how it came to be by heading over to Entertainment Weekly to read their chat with executive producers Brian Kelley and Matt Selman.
