Another remake of an ’80s movie is officially on the way. It’s being reported that Rebel Wilson is set to star in Private Benjamin, an updated version of the 1980 flick of the same name that starred Goldie Hawn.
The movie will follow a redneck who, along with a rich city girl, get much more than they bargained for when they enlist in the Marines to get away from their current life situations. In the original, Hawn played a woman who joins the Army after being tricked into thinking the military is much more glamorous than it turns out to be.
Wilson is an Australian actress and comedian who has starred in movies such as Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, and Pain & Gain, as well as the sitcom Super Fun Night. She can be seen (and heard) in upcoming titles like Kung Fu Panda 3, Night at the Museum 3, and Pitch Perfect 2.

Umm, a) she’s not funny b) she’s a terrible actress and c) she’s not even remotely believable as a military recruit since she’s many degrees away from being able to meet height/weight and body fat standards for enlistment.
Not being mean, but that last point is just fact.
