Early morning electricity abounds in San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H today as Warner Brothers unveiled some of their hottest properties. As the panels were introduced, huge screens spread out left and right into the hall, with was followed by a teaser reel for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, as well as footage cut together especially for this event.
Moderated by the incomparable Chris Hardwick, who instantly got the proceedings started, Batman and Superman came across the screens, giving us exclusive stills of Ben Affleck as the newly crowned Dark Knight as the crowd reached fever pitch for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Director Zack Snyder then came out to massive applause and explained at he’s in the process of filming the movie and there’s nothing to show — which we all knew was BS, this is Comic-Con, there has to be something. The directorial helmer of the rebooted Superman Man of Steel franchise, which garnered even more thrills because this entire panel was unannounced, Snyder teased the crowd with exclusive footage, which in his words, was a little teaser, consisting of Affleck’s Batman shining the famous Bat Signal beacon into a rainy Gotham City night sky, as Henry Cavill’s Superman then appears in the sky in front of it looking rather pissed with crimson red X-ray eyes, closing with a Superman and Batman stare-down.
The panel then culminated with the genuine articles, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, who sauntered out to the stage to thunderous applause. Then out came Gal Gadot, who stars as Wonder Woman in the film. Finally, Snyder said, “We need to go finish the movie,” and as images of the holy superhero trinity — including Gadot in full Wonder Woman regalia — appeared on the screens. And then that was it, the end of one of the most explosive Comic-Con openings ever witnessed.

Explosive except for the fact that Ben Affleck is still in this movie. Almost nulifies and voids everything else.
