According to Kristian Nairn, the actor who plays fan-favorite Hodor on HBO’s Game of Thrones, neither his character nor Bran Stark (played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) will appear in season five of the show next year.
Click on over to the other side to read a quote from Nairn revealing the news, but be warned it could be considered semi-spoilery if you’re highly fearful of such things.
“We have a season off and we have a year’s hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books.
So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world.”
For those who don’t know, Nairn is also a DJ and is doing a Game of Thrones-themed tour with special guests Zedd Stark and Trance Rayder.
But while it will be awesome for some fans to see Nairn in person, the rest of us will surely be deeply saddened by the lack of Hodor in our lives for the next couple of years.
