William Shatner Asks Fox To Give ‘Firefly’ Back
  |  @   |

As it turns out, Captain Kirk is a Browncoat just like the rest of us.

Star Trek legend William Shatner has called out Fox, asking them to give us back (or at least sell it to someone!) Joss Whedon‘s prematurely canceled sci-fi western Firefly if they’re not going to use the property.

Shatner took to the Twitter recently to make the plea, which you can read below.

Firefly has already been canceled for 11 years now, with a movie continuation, Serenity, being released a decade ago. Because of this most aren’t very optimistic that we’ll ever see more, though they will fight for it to their deaths.

It’s nice to see someone of Shatner’s status reminding Fox that we’re still here!

  1. Didn’t Universal buy the right which was why they made the movie?

  4. Universal only had film rights to make the movie Serenity (also gave the cash for the movie to get made). That was their only involvement with Firefly.
