Watch Now: ‘Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series’ Preview
  |  @   |

Hey there, Space Cowboys. If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting for years for the U.S. release of the anime classic Cowboy Bebop on domestic Blu-ray. Well, the wait is almost over, as Funimation has officially announced that the release date for Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series will be December 16, 2014.

There’s a couple of different versions available for pre-order, including standard Blu-ray and DVD packs, and an Amazon Exclusive Edition pack. You can also pre-order a different special edition directly from Funimation.

Check out the preview below. You can see that the video quality is quite improved over the previous U.S. DVD release.

Cowboy Bebop was originally released in Japan in 1998 before coming to the U.S. in 2001. It’s the story of four bounty hunters (and their dog) in the future, trolling the universe in search of the next paycheck. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest anime series ever, and is one of the few shows whose U.S. voice cast may be better than the original Japanese cast.

See you, Space Cowboy.

  1. Do you know if the regular Blu-Ray will have all the extras/bonus features that the special editions will have?
