Marvel fans are getting ready for what will be a pretty spectacular 2015. Not only will they get Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, and Fantastic Four, but they will also get to see their long-awaited Netflix series debut. It first starts with the Daredevil series, and will be followed by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist series. All of it will culminate with a miniseries event that resembles The Avengers.

Daredevil is already under production, and now we are beginning to start casting for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Hit the jump for more.

Deadline reports that Alexandra Daddario, Krysten Ritter, Teresa Palmer, and Jessica De Gouw are among some of the notable actresses who are now testing for the role of Jessica Jones.

Dexter alum Melissa Rosenberg will act as the series’ showrunner, which will have 13 episodes. In episode 6-7, viewers will be introduced to Luke Cage, who will then jump into his own series following Jessica Jones. In the same report, Lance Gross and Mike Colter are said to be up for the role of Cage.

Jessica Jones had a shaky start in her superhero career. Suffering from PTSD and a kind of Stockholm Syndrome, plus being under a coma, Jones would retire from the superhero business to start her own private detective agency. Though she has retired, the character is continuously sought out by clients with superhero connections.

Daddario has made a name for herself by appearing on shows like True Detective, White Palmer has been in Warm Bodies, I Am Number Four, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Ritter has shown that she has both dramatic and comedic chops. She’s had roles on Veronica Mars and most recently Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23. But one of her best performances can be seen on Breaking Bad. De Gouw has already played in a televised comic book sandbox by having a role as the Huntress on Arrow.

Some of Gross’ notable roles include Meet The Browns and Tyler Perry’s Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor. He was most recently seen on the short-lived NBC drama Crisis. Colter has had guest roles on shows like Law & Order: Trial By Jury, The Good Wife, ER, and The Parkers. He currently stars in the series Halo: Nightfall, and will provide the voice and motion capture for Agent Locke in Halo 5: Guardians.
