Originally the Jurassic World trailer was scheduled for a Thanksgiving Day release. But since the Internet is known to be a bit impatient, Universal went ahead and launched the trailer online early. Check it out here below.
The trailer shows that this won’t be the Jurassic Park films we remember. The park is now back in full control of the humans. There are interactive rides, safaris, even a water show where they use shark as bait. Of course a park that looks as gorgeous as this, and one that has such an iconic entrance, anyone would be eager to jump on the first plane to Isla Nubar.
But it is not all fun and games, and the trailer also confirms the reintroduction of how dangerous it can be when man plays god in a whole new way. Instead of bringing the dead back to life, they are mixing the genes of two extinct beasts into one ferocious one, a notion that Chris Pratt‘s character is uncomfortable with since the new beast is unpredictable and cannot be controlled like the others. So we see how dangerous this D-Rex can be when he can scale 40-foot walls, and leave a bloody trailer. The trailer then switches over to a scene of a mass panic of people running for their lives.
We see how much control Pratt has over these dinosaurs when the cage doors for the raptor confinements open, and they run along side him while he rides a motorcycle. That in itself is already has me hooked.
There is a lot to process, and I’m sure there is still a lot more that director Colin Trevorrow would have liked to have shown, but will keep for the actual release.
Jurassic World also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, BD Wong, and more. It opens June 12, 2014
