Michelle MacLaren Confirmed To Direct Wonder Woman Movie
  |  @   |

Recently it was reported that Michelle MacLaren, a TV director who has helmed multiple episodes of shows like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad, was the top choice of Warner Brothers to direct Wonder Woman.

Just a quick update for you, as it has been confirmed that MacLaren will in fact develop and direct the movie, which centers around the super powerful Amazonian warrior princess played by Gal Gadot. The actress will first play the role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

MacLaren will begin working on figuring out the best script with the movie’s screenwriters. Who those screenwriters are, however, has not yet been revealed to the masses.

Wonder Woman will be produced by Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Charles Roven, with a release in 2017 planned.

The last director who was set to bring the DC Comics character to the big screen was none other than Joss Whedon, but ultimately the Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator had an entirely different plan for the movie in mind than what Warner Brothers wanted, forcing him to walk away from the project in 2007. Whedon of course would go on to make the most successful superhero movie of all time for Marvel, The Avengers, which made over $1.5 billion worldwide.
