New ‘Inside Out’ Images: How Our Emotions Can Trigger Memories
  |  @   |

2015 will see the release of two original Pixar films, Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. The first to be released will be Inside Out. Set inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley, Pete Docter‘s new animated film will have five emotions — Joy, Fear, Disgust, Sadness, and Anger — navigating Riley through life. Basically it is a representation of the inner workings of our mind and how we store memories, with a slight touch of Pixar added to the mix, of course.

We are bound to get a few more trailers and images to give us a better idea of the film in the months leading up to the film’s release. Now, some new images have been released showing us how exactly the emotional characters store memory and view previous ones. Hit the jump to check it out.

As we have seen in the second trailer, the five principal characters, all represented by the same emotions that everyone has, have access to projecting memories. It’s pretty fun to see, and will be hilarious to see which memories these characters decide to project.

Featuring the voice talents of Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Phyllis Smith, Inside Out opens June 19, 2015.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
