It’s New Year’s Eve, but that isn’t stopping the news cycle from spinning. And for the Disney marketing team, they are going to change the way we see the day before we ring in the new year with a trailer from Zootopia to help celebrate “Zoo Year’s Eve.” The studio has released a brand new trailer for the film, unlike the trailer that masqueraded as a clip of the two leads at the DMV – which actually worked if you think about it – this trailer is a mash up of new scenes, complimented with a brand new song “Try Everything,” written by singer-songwriter Sia and songwriting duo Stargate and performed by Grammy winner Shakira. Check out the new trailer and hear the song below.

Captain America: Civil War may be the opening chapter of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but a lot of our attention is turned to Doctor Strange. The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, which touts quite a supporting cast that consists of Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer, Trainwreck), Rachel McAdams (Spotlight, About Time), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave, The Martian), and Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man, Steve Jobs). So far we’ve seen images, learned about the motivation behind Mads Mikkelsen‘s villain, and Doctor Strange’s powers. Now Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is talking a little bit more about the Sorcerer Supreme’s allies and possible foes. More on the story below.

La La Land will be Damien Chazelle‘s follow-up to his Academy Award winning drumming drama Whiplash. But rather than be just another film about the gritty and sometimes demoralizing behind-the-scenes look at competitive jazz band, Chazelle’s upcoming film might have a lighter fare, as it will be a musical set in modern-day Los Angeles. It will star Crazy Stupid Love duo Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. The two have quite the on screen chemistry, having also appeared together in the crime drama Gangster Squad. The film marks the third time that they’re paired together in a film. And now we are getting our first look at the two dancing against an L.A. backdrop as the sun sets. Check out the first image below.

Phase Three of the MCU will have a total of 11 films, and with these films culminating with the epic two-part Avengers: Infinity War there are still two more Infinity Stones that need to be discovered. Four have already made an appearance in the last two phases (the Space Stone, Mind Stone, Power Stone, and the Reality Stone), which leaves the Time Stone and Soul Stone – the power of these stones are pretty explanatory. It’s not clear when the final two stones could appear, but as we have seen in the past, these stones have been found within a scepter, a cube, a vicious liquid, and an orb. So where the final two gems could be found is still a mystery. But based on what Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said, the next Infinity Stone could appear in Doctor Strange. And it will be in the form of a tool that is of great importance to the title character. More on this story below.

Back in 2012, George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4.05 billion dollars, most of which went directly to educational charity. Since then the Mouse House has released Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is on track to beat Avatar for the title of highest grossing box office film of all time. But while we wait for that news to happen. With the film breaking all sorts of records and being recognized for being one of the best Star Wars films since A New Hope – even though some have criticized that The Force Awakens is a retread on that story – there are some people who are unhappy with what the franchise has become, and that person is none other than Lucas himself. After the jump, you will find out why he is so unhappy with the film (despite saying that he was pleased with it after watching an early preview), why Hollywood has become so reliant on franchises, and his plans to make original films in the future.
