A fifth Rambo film has been officially on the table since 2009, when Millennium Films and Nu Image gave the Sylvester Stallone action sequel the green light.
Now, Stallone has revealed the title for the new film — Rambo: Last Blood.
The actor, who’s starred as John Rambo in the previous installments — First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), and Rambo III (1988), Rambo (2008) — posted to his Twitter account that he’d be working on what he called Last Blood.
Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after LAST BLOOD RAMBO…
Back in 2011, the fifth film was being referred to as Last Stand. A few months ago, Coming Soon had the scoop that the name would be Last Blood, which is now confirmed.
Stallone’s post also revealed that after Last Blood, he’ll be working on a film called Scarpa, about mobster turned informant Gregory Scarpa.
In another of his recent posts to Twitter, the actor stated that he would be going to Philadelphia, the location for his 1976 hit Rocky, for the start of filming on Creed, the Rocky spin-off centering Apollo Creed’s grandson. Stallone is reprising his role as Rocky Balboa, who will act as a mentor to Creed’s aspiring boxer grandson.
Going to Philly to start the film CREED…. What a great idea
Damn it Sly. Just stop. Stop already. Just freaking stop!
Rocky Balboa was a great ending to the series.
Rambo was a great ending to the series.
Don’t screw things up by trying to carry on the franchises this way.You have The Expendables to do that with for crying out loud!
No spoilers here from me but his two iconic character stories had great endings. They don’t need additional chapters.

hope rambo last blood takes off from where the last rambo stopped—with him walking down that dirt road to his house in amercia where he was raised—after 40 years he returns to this small midwest town and trouble starts—local drug dealers with the high school kids, etc. can’t wait.
