Geek Peek: ‘Jane Got A Gun’ Sees Natalie Portman Pointing Six-Shooters
  |  @   |

A 2015 film that is probably flying low on everyone’s radar is Jane Got A Gun. Starring Natalie Portman, the film has been afflicted with an assortment of problems that includes the film’s original director Lynne Ramsay dropping out of the last minute, Jude Law dropping out because he only signed on because Ramsay was directing, actors dropping out because of scheduling problems, and a lawsuit, not to mention the three times that the release date has been pushed back.

But somehow Gavin O’Connor was able to put the film together. Unfortunately it is scheduled for a September release, but despite that I am very intrigued to see what the director was able to accomplish with all the setbacks the film has experienced. And now we are getting our first look at the film with some new images from Empire. Hit the jump to check them out.

Law exiting the project due to Ramsay’s departure only tells us that her vision of the film won’t be anything like O’Connor’s. That being said, plenty of movies have experienced the same amount, if not more, problems off the set, and they still managed to be pretty decent.

Portman stars as Jane, who defends her farm with the help of her ex-fiancee (Joel Edgerton) from her husband (Noah Emmerich) and his gang of outlaws led by Collin (Ewan McGregor).

Jane Got A Gun opens September 4.
