New ‘Crimson Peak’ Images: Tom Hiddleston Isn’t The Only Eye Candy In The Film

Crimson Peak from director Guillermo del Toro is easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2015. We saw a sneak peek of the film during the Legendary Panel at Comic-Con last year, but that was so long ago, the footage is almost forgotten. While we wait for a trailer to appear, Empire has released a couple of images before the film’s Halloween season release.
Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam star in the film that puts a gothic twist on love and temptation. While Hiddleston may have eye-catching appeal, there is something else in the images that is more incredible and striking to look at than the actor. Hit the jump to check them out.
An image of Chastain was revealed a couple of weeks back, and this is the first time we are seeing Hiddleston and Wasikowska, but it is the house that really should be the focus of attention. And it isn’t just a set piece, this is an actual three-story mansion with a fully functioning elevator, bathrooms, and full library.
Empire’s description of Crimson Peak offers a few more details about the film that we already didn’t know.
A young woman (Wasikowska) is swept off by her feet by a charismatic suitor (Hiddleston) and taken back to his ancestral home. There she finds more than she bargained for, including a jealous sister (Chastain) and more than a few skeletons in the closet.
Now here is the full synopsis.
Legendary Pictures’ CRIMSON PEAK, a co-production with Universal Pictures, is a haunting gothic horror story directed by the master of dark fairy tales, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy series, Pacific Rim), written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins and starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam. In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds “¦ and remembers. Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.
There’s also a couple of images from Hiddleston’s Twitter account that were posted over the holidays included below.
With all these promotional images, let’s hope a trailer drops soon. Crimson Peak opens in theaters on October 16, 2015.
