If you were to sit down to watch the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’d probably do so in the order of their release. So, you’d start with 2008’s Iron Man and end with 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. But the order of release for these movies don’t line up with the chronological order of events within the MCU and its TV offshoots.
So, Mike Furth from The Comic Archive took on the massive task of putting together a chronological list of events from within the 10 currently released movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with a few episodes from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as several Marvel one-shot shorts.
Check out Furth’s videos here below explaining his process and how you can edit your own MCU extended edition, aka “Marvel Movie Omnibus.”
The timeline begins with the flashback sequence in Thor: The Dark World and ends with a scene from The Avengers. Visit The Comic Archive YouTube page for more details, including the timecodes.
Here’s all the movies, TV episodes, and one-shots used for the Phase One video:
Iron Man 1
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3
Captain America: The First Avenger
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The Incredible Hulk
Thor

Guardians of the Galaxy
