New ‘Ant-Man’ Images Reveal Corey Stoll’s Yellowjacket
  |  @   |

We recently got to see the first trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man, along with new images of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and an unofficial tiny peek at the villainous Yellowjacket from the Peyton Reed-directed film.

Now, EW has debuted more images from the film, mostly again of Rudd in and out of costume, but there’s also a first look at Corey Stoll as Darren Cross, as well as the character as his alter-ego, Yellowjacket.

Check out the new images here below.

Stoll spoke to EW about his character, explaining that Darren Cross was a child prodigy that Michael Douglas’ character Hank Pym discovered at an early age. Pym then mentored Cross, who became obsessed with the technology Pym’s company was working on that could shrink a person to half an inch while maintaining their full-size strength. Cross then plots with Pym’s daughter Hope (Evangeline Lilly) to take over the company.

Here’s what the actor said about Yellowjacket:

“Now, I’ve discovered my own version of that technology and I’m using it for militaristic purposes,” Stoll continues. “I’ve even started to use the technology myself, which as a sort of psychotic effect on people if they use it too much. I can’t get into the details of all the goodies of the Yellowjacket suit but it’s several generations advanced from what Ant-Man has. And then I put it on””and then I am Yellowjacket!”

Ant-Man, which stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, Judy Greer, and Michael Pena, opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.
