This week saw the unveiling of the new Indominus Rex, the genetically modified hybrid dinosaur baddy from Jurassic World, while tomorrow brings a new TV spot for the upcoming fourth installment of the Jurassic Park film franchise.
As a tease for tomorrow’s trailer, which will be shown during the Super Bowl, director Colin Trevorrow posted a photo to his Twitter account of a dinosaur accompanied simply by the word “Tomorrow.”
Check out the image here below.
The teaser image looks like its of a Velociraptor, which is one of main dinosaurs featured throughout the Jurassic Park movies. This one looks like he’s hiding out, getting ready for the hunt.
Photos from Jurassic World were released earlier this month that revealed the new Mercedes-Benz GLE models featured in the film, with video showing the cars in action. A lengthy first trailer, which featured various theme-park dinosaurs, was released last November.
Filming began on the highly anticipated sequel on April 10, 2014 in Hawaii, with subsequent shooting locations being in New Orleans, LA; St. Louis, MO; and Slidell, LA where swamp scenes were done (could that be where the velociraptor in the teaser photo be hiding out?). Filming wrapped on August 5, 2014. Legacy Effects, formerly Stan Winston Studios, once again provided the animatronic dinosaurs, while Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) did the visual effects. Michael Giacchino (Star Trek) composed the score, incorporating parts from John Williams’ previous Jurassic Park music.
Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, which stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, BD Wong, Vincent D’Onofrio, and more, hits theaters in 3D on June 12, 2014.
We’ll have the new trailer up tomorrow as soon as its released online, so be sure to check back here to watch it!
Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.
(BTW, this year’s Super Bowl sees the New England Patriots vs. the Seattle Seahawks, and as a result, Captain America vs. Star-Lord – Chris Pratt! – as well.)
