Now, Sony Pictures has released a behind-the-scenes first look at footage from the upcoming James Bond film shot at the Sölden set. Watch the 2-minute video here below and check out the first image from the film as well, along with the official synopsis.
This first video shows the set in the snow-covered Austrian mountains on the film’s first day of shooting last year, and contains some talk from the filmmakers, as well as a glimpse of a gun-wielding Craig as Bond in what will be one of the movie’s biggest action sequences.
Principal photography began on the Sam Mendes-directed sequel on December 8, 2014, with set locations including Sölden, Obertilliach, and Lake Altaussee in Austria; Mexico City; Rome; and Tangier & Erfoud, Morocco, as well as Pinewood Studios in London. The production moved this week to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK, the 1874 birthplace of WWII Prime Minister Winston Churchill, where cranes and cars reportedly arrived on Tuesday.
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
